Hello, I too am new to Delcampe and wonder if anyone can offer a solution to this problem. After not receiving a postcard that I had won I asked the seller what had happened and he said he would investigate. The next thing was an Email from Delcampe "The reason for this is that the beneficiary has not registered within 14 days after the execution of the payment". What does this mean? I have not heard anything more from the seller.

Did you pay by Paypal or Moneybookers to his email address, whilst it wasn't one of the payment options he offered? Or did you spell his email address wrong. (I had this once when a buyer forgot sent money to nfo@mysite.com instead onf info@mysite.com)
When you pay to someone who isn't a member of PP or MB,or to an email address he didn't register, he needs to register with them in order to complete transaction and to be able to receive the payment.
If it isn't the above, I have absolutely no clue what Delcampe means.

Thank you very much for your reply, I have checked both things and they were ok. The items says that it has been sent which is strange that my payment has been returned but I have asked him the same question so will see what happens. Thanks again,

"The reason for this is that the beneficiary has not registered within 14 days after the execution of the payment".
I don't understand what this means.
It seems to be not unusual for delcampe to write a kind of English which English people can't understand. Perhaps an American can help ?
It's a good thing that they write in standard French, not in a patois or creole, not even in Canadian French .
In this case, I think somebody is attempting a posh kind of bureaucratic English as used in Brussels or even sometimes in Whitehall, but incomprehensible to most of us.

well I would simplify the text like this:
"Er hey man/maŽam , the fellow who were supposed to receive the money you transfered have not registered that email adress so things has been in the limbo and after 14 days we return the money to the sender (you) but you know perhaps he never got any mail for some reasons so how could he register it? Anyway the letter "1" and "l" looks very much the same depending on which font you use for example so it can be something like that or you missd a lettr? Things arenŽt always easy t explain but we at support are at least sober enought to understand that it can be tricky to find out the true answer. However,if you use Babelfish for translation you better cut the text into small parts or you will miss the pint."
